Artesprix Iron-on-Ink Travel Stamped Picture Frame!
Hi! Courtney here creating for the Artesprix Design Team and setting up an easy tutorial for you to follow along and create with me. When traveling and vacationing is not an option looking forward to future trips or even envisioning dream destinations can be a great reminder and memento on a shelf or nightstand. In this tutorial I will show you how to use the Artesprix Sublimation Markers and create an Iron-on-Ink Travel Stamped Picture Frame to marvel at when trips are far and few in between.
What are Artesprix Sublimation Markers?
Sublimation is an ink that activates and transfers with heat. Artesprix Sublimation Markers have that ink in them and help with the creation of sublimation type crafts
Materials & Tools:
- Copy Paper
- Picture Frame
- Silhouette Cameo
- Pen Adapter (Gray)
- Heat Tape
- Protective Paper
- Heat Source
- Project Mat
- Collectible Stamps
- Adhesive Glue
- Mini Glass Tiles
- Glue Gun
Step1: To start, trace the picture frame onto the copy paper with a pencil. Trace the outside and the inside for reference when designing with the Sublimation Markers.
Step 2: Now with a Silhouette Cameo use the Pen Adapter (gray) and have the machine trace out the travel stamps. Color and design past the traced lines for a great transfer when heat pressing.
Step 3: After design is complete align the Picture Frame up to the designed area and place Heat Tape down on all sides.
Step 4: Next, place the Heat Taped Picture Frame between two pieces of Protective Paper to form a Sublimation Sandwich. See picture below. Place the Sublimation Sandwich on the heat press as is and press for 30 seconds at 400˚ F.
Step 5: After you allow the Picture Frame to cool you can peek at the design transferred by gently lifting a corner piece not stuck down by the Heat Tape. Then continue to reveal when it’s cooled down.
Step 6: Add the collectible stamps with adhesive glue and the mini glass tiles with the glue gun.
Step 7: Finally finish assembling by adding the protective mylar piece and backing to the frame. Don’t forget to put an awesome picture in the frame!
