Artesprix Wine Stopper with Patterned Stencil & Stamp Pads
This year is off to a great crafting start and I’m excited to share one of my latest projects with you. I’m Designer Naomi from EJ’s Fun Crafting. When I saw the Artesprix Iron-On-Ink January Blank of the Month, I was over the moon about all the gifts I could make. Follow along as I show you how I created a personalized sublimation wine stopper using an Artesprix ink pad and a stencil from my stash.

What is Artesprix Iron-on-Ink?
Artesprix Sublimation Markers, Ink, and Paint are specially formulated to allow you to use basic copy paper (something we all have) to: color, stamp, stencil, and monoprint anything you wish and turn it into a heat-transferable design. Anyone can make amazing designs, regardless of your artistic skill level. You can then use heat (either a heat press or a home iron) and pressure to apply these designs to a polyester or polyester coated substrate. Your designs will then be permanently printed onto your substrate.
Supplies:
Wine Stopper
Sublimation stamp pad
Hero Arts Patterned stencil
Protective Paper
Heat Tape
Copy Paper
Washi Tape
Pencil
Blending brush, dauber, or sponge
Optional Supplies:
Permanent adhesive vinyl
Transfer tape
Weeding tools
Cricut or preferred cutting machine
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: Remove the Wine Stopper metal inserts from the bag. Use a pencil to trace around the outside of the insert to create a template.
Step 2: Use washi tape to secure the stencil over the template.
Pro Tip: Since the design area is very small, be sure to place the stencil so that you capture the part of the pattern you like most for this design.
Step 3: Use a blending brush and the Black Sublimation Stamp Pad over the stencil.
Step 4: Repeat Steps 1-3 for the second insert.
Step 5: Remove the clear protective plastic from the sublimation inserts.
Pro Tip #2: Clean the inserts using a lint brush or lint-free cloth.
Step 6: Place the inserts white side down over the stamped designs and secure using heat tape.
Step 7: Now we’ll make our “sublimation sandwich” to get ready to transfer our design. Cut two pieces of protective paper and place secured project in-between.
Step 8: Press the design at 385℉ for 45 seconds.
Step 9: Before removing the design from the heat press, do a “peek test” by lifting a corner of the design to make sure the design is transferred correctly. If you can see the design coming through the paper, you likely got a good transfer.
If the design is transferred well, you are done and you can remove the tape and paper. If it is not, replace the covering and press again.
Pro Tip #3: If there is no ink on the sheet of protective paper, you can re-use it. However, if there is ink on it, you won’t want to use it again.
Step 10: (Optional) Use permanent vinyl to cut your personalized name, date, or anything you’d like on your Cricut or other electronic cutting machine.
Step 11: (Optional) Use transfer tape to transfer your vinyl design to the completed wine stopper design.
Step 12: Remove the adhesive protective film and adhere the decorated blank to the Wine Stopper on each side.
I am totally obsessed with this wine stopper! I can’t wait to make more as anniversary gifts for the year. But I know I better order NOW and you should too, because these wine stoppers are here for the month of January only.
