Heat Transfer Tips
Before Transferring...
-
Read Instructions
The time and temperature is dependent on the material of the blank being used. Refer to the sublimation blank vendor’s recommendations before transferring.
-
Prep Blank
For best results, clean sublimation blanks prior to adhering the transfer with a lint roller or microfiber cloth to remove any dust.
-
Pressure is Key
Pressure is key to quality sublimation transfers. If using a handheld heat source, keep the iron stationary while applying firm pressure.
-
Time & Temp
The recommended temperature can range from 385-400 F°, with an elapsed pressing time from 30-120 seconds or more. Fabrics tend to have lower temperatures and transfer times than hard surfaced poly-coated sublimation blanks.
