Hello Artesprix fans!  It’s Maria here on the blog with you today.  Are you going to entertain over the Thanksgiving holiday and would like to decorate your table with one-of-a-kind coasters?!  I am sharing this cute project today, showcasing the Textured Coasters and Iron-On-Ink Markers by Artesprix.

What are Artesprix Sublimation Markers?

Artesprix Sublimation Markers have the capability to transfer your drawings from a plain copy paper to any Polyester Fabric or Polyester Coated Blank with their unique sublimation process.

Materials You’ll Need for this project:

  1. Blank Textured Coasters
  2. Sublimation Ink Pad
  3. Sublimation Markers (Primary & Gnomie Botanical)
  4. Stamp Set of Your Choice for your design
  5. Stamping Tool or Acrylic Block
  6. Heat Tape
  7. Protective Paper
  8. Project Mat
  9. Plain Copy Paper and Pencil

Step 1. Trace your blank on a plain piece of copy paper with a pencil.

Step 2. Position your Paper inside your stamping tool and stamp your design using Artesprix Sublimation Ink Pad.

Step 3. Color your design with Artesprix Sublimation Markers.

Step 4. Place your coaster on top of your design and secure it with Artesprix heat tape.  Designer tip:  only use Artesprix heat tape on the outer edge of your design (not over it), as the heat resistant characteristic of the tape will affect the consistency of the transfer.

Step 5. Create your Sublimation Sandwich:

  • Artesprix Protective Paper
  • Artesprix Blank Textured Coaster design secured (face down) on top, with Artesprix Protective Tape
  • Artesprix Protective Paper

Step 6. When your Artesprix heat press temperature reaches 400 deg. F, you are ready to do the sublimation. Place your “sublimation sandwich” inside and heat press for 90 seconds.  If using Home Iron/Dry Iron hold stationary while pressing firmly for approximately 4 minutes (do not leave heat source unattended).

Step 7. Once the heat press timer beeps, take your design and place on your project mat to cool for a few minutes.
