Halloween Sign with Iron-on-Ink and Cricut Maker
Hello crafty friend, it's Designer Lori here today! It’s the Spooky Season which means it is the perfect time to create a Halloween Sublimation project featuring Artexprix Markers, Stamp ink and Sublimation Decorative Sign. The trick to this project is using an Artesprix Black Marker with a Cricut Machine to draw an outline of a Halloween design. Check out the step-by-step tutorial below to find out how to use a Cricut machine with Artesprix Makers to create a quick and easy Halloween sign. But this sign is only available in the Artesprix Shop for the month of October 2023!

What is Artesprix Iron-on-Ink?
It is an interesting and fun product that allows you to create a design on standard copy paper that can then be heat transferred onto surfaces (must have polyester in it or have a polyester coating). Once the project is transferred to the blank, it is lifetime permanent. Before Artesprix, you would need a fancy printer to experience this level of personalization, but not anymore!
Supplies:
Decorative Sign Blank
Cricut Halloween SVG
Cricut Machine with Pen Adapter
Computer Paper
Heat Press
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: Using Cricut Design Space, upload a Halloween SVG and size to fit the dimensions of the Decorative Sign. Flip images to be in reverse. Set Operation setting to “Pen”.
Step 2: Align piece of plain copy paper onto Cricut Mat.
Step 3: Place a Black Sublimation Fine Tip Marker into the Cricut marker holder, load paper, and Draw.
Step 4: Unload paper with design from Cricut mat.
Step 5: Use Sublimation Markers to color in designs.
Step 6: Using a sponge brayer, apply Yellow and Orange Sublimation Stamp Pad Ink over the design.
Step 7: Place Decorative Sign onto finished design and secure with heat tape.
Step 8: Make a "Sublimation Sandwich" by placing the secured project between two pieces of protective paper.
Step 9: Heat set using appropriate settings for the blank. This Decorative Sign calls for 105 seconds at 400℉.
Step 10: After 105 seconds, conduct a "peek test" at the transfer to ensure it was successful (do not remove tape until transfer is confirmed). Re-heat if needed.
Step 11: Remove paper to reveal the transferred image.
Step 12: Add ribbon included with sign, or add your own for easy use.
I truly love creating seasonal Halloween projects and the October Blank of the Month Decorative Sign is perfect for that. it is also great to have on hand for the other upcoming holidays. Artesprix Iron-on-Ink products and sublimation blanks truly provide endless possibilities, especially when I incorporate my paper crafting supplies. If you try this project be sure to post it to the Artesprix Facebook Group, we'd love to see it!
Happy Day!
Lori Warren
