Inspirational Artesprix Sublimation Apron
Hello all, Design Team Member Lori here, with a new Artesprix Sublimation project featuring a Sublimation ready Apron. For this project, I created a new apron for use in my craft room. I didn’t have a stamp or stencil the size that I needed so I used my computer to create the text for this design, in reverse, so I could print and trace it for my project. Check out the step-by-step tutorial below to see how this project came together.

What is Sublimation Iron-on-Ink?
It is an interesting and fun product that allows you to create a design on standard copy paper that can then be heat transferred onto surfaces (must have polyester in it or have a polyester coating). Once the project is transferred to the blank, it is lifetime permanent. Before Artesprix, you would need a fancy printer to experience this level of personalization, but not anymore!
Supplies:
Sublimation Stamp Pad & Refill Ink – Black
Sublimation Markers
Protective Project Mat
Apron
Heat tape
Protective paper

Computer Paper
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: Print the word “Create” on a regular printer in a text that is easy to trace. The text needs to be revered for sublimation so be sure print backwards. If you are unsure how to print in reverse, you can always flip your paper over instead.
Step 2: Trace the letters with a Artesprix Sublimation Black Fine marker.
Step 3: Color letters in with Artesprix Sublimation Black Chisel Marker.
Step 4: Stamp the Cone Flower image, cover with mask and stamp 2 additional designs.
Step 5: Color in flowers with Artesprix Sublimation markers.
Step 6: Stamp “Inspire” & “Enjoy” using Sublimation ready stamps with Sublimation Ink Pad, Black.
Step 7: Using a fan brush with Black Sublimation Refill Ink, apply splatters to design.
Step 8: Place finished design face-down on sublimation Apron as desired. Secure with heat tape.
Step 9: Make a "Sublimation Sandwich" by placing the Apron between two pieces of protective paper larger than your design.
Step 10: Heat set using appropriate settings for the project. This Apron calls for 60 seconds at 400℉.
Pro Tip: To avoid press lines, pre-press your fabric for 5 seconds. You can also use a pressing pillow, or transfer using light pressure.
Step 11: After heat set, take-a-peek at the image to ensure transfer was successful (do not remove tape until transfer confirmed). Re-heat if necessary.
Step 12: Remove paper to reveal final transfer.
I hope you enjoyed this project and will give the Artesprix Sublimation products and blanks a try. They have a Starter Kit available in the Artesprix Shop that has everything you need to get started with Iron-on-Ink.
