I love how Artesprix offers so many different blanks to work with the Artesprix Iron-on ink and decided to create a make-up bag using the Artesprix Canvas Zip Case blank for my mom as a gift for Mother’s Day. She will love it because I made it for her. Let’s face it homemade gifts are always better then store bought!
What are Artesprix Sublimation Arts & Crafts Supplies?
For me, I see it as an extension of what I currently use. Artesprix Iron-on Ink offers a complete line of sublimation products that allow artists and crafters to personalize polyester blanks with their own designs. It is heat transferable ink. I can color in stamped image with the markers after I stamp the image using the sublimation iron-on-ink onto a piece of printer paper. This ink in marker form or pad form is amazingly intense and colorful once it is ironed or heat press set onto the metal heart blank used for the project. The ink really intensifies with the heat. It will appear muted on the printer paper but the final product is vibrant beyond belief.
Materials:
Copy Paper
Pencil

Any rubber or cling floral stamp
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: Start by tracing the zip case to be on the white printer paper with a pencil. Pencil will not transfer to your blank, only Iron-on-Ink.
Step 2: Stamp your floral stamps, or any stamps you like as desired in your created template.
Step 3: Next, using the sublimation markers color in the stamped designs on the printer paper.
Pro Tip: I usually turn on the heat press during this stage of my creating. This allows plenty of time to get the press to the proper temperature. For this project I set the temperature to 400℉.
Step 4: Once you're finished creating, using heat resistant tape secure the zip case to the design. This will help prevent shifting, or "ghosting". This blank is double-sided so it does not matter which side you transfer to.
Step 5: This step is what is referred to as a "sublimation sandwich". Cut two pieces of the protective paper larger than your zip case. One piece will protect your heat source, and the other will protect your bottom surface. 
Pro Tip: Artesprix's zip case is high quality so you do not need to put a piece of protective paper inside, but beware, not all blanks are created equal! So if you're using an off brand zip case blank, you'll want to add an additional piece of protective paper inside to prevent your design from going through to the other side.
Step 6: Time, temperature, and pressure settings are dependent on the blank. Place in the heat press, with the zipper hanging off the edge, and 400℉ for 45 seconds.
Step 7: The most important step of the project is the "Peek Test"! Do not remove the tape from the zip case until you lift a corner of the printer paper with the colored image to verify the design transferred and the colors are intense. If they are not meeting your expectations, simply close heat press and re-press.
Step 8: Once you confirmed your transfer was successful, remove your copy paper to reveal your finished project!
