Seasonal Sublimation Jewelry with Artesprix Iron-on-Ink
Hello! I am Paula from Paula’s Studio. I am primarily a paper crafter who loves to make greeting cards but I also love using paper and my creativity to make other things. My excitement for Artesprix products comes from the ability to use the inks in different forms and techniques to expand on the options of how I can use my skills and artwork. I created a jewelry pendant using an Artesprix stamp pad and markers.

What are Artesprix Sublimation Arts & Crafts Supplies?
Sublimation is the process of taking a solid ink and applying heat and pressure to allow it to vaporize skipping the liquid state. This causes the ink to permanently adhere to the surface if it is primarily a form of polyester or poly-coating as the heat causes the surface to accept the gases leaving behind vibrant and permanent colors. Commercially, printers are used to print the designs. Artesprix provides products such as markers, ink pads, and paints to allow us to create projects at home without committing to a printer and lets us dip into our creative side too.
Supplies:
Artesprix Sublimation Ink Pads
Acrylic Stamp Block
Pencil
Copy/printer papers
Scissors
Artesprix Protective Paper Roll
Heat Source
Glass mat (optional)
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: Remove the white metal blank insert from the pendant and trace it twice with pencil on the copy paper.
Step 2: Ink your design stamp of choice of stamp in the circles with an Artesprix Sublimation Ink Pad.
Step 3: Color the images with Artesprix Sublimation Markers.
Pro Tip: The ink can be thinned with a little water and brushed on for a softer watercolor look.
Step 4: Cut out finished designs leaving ample room between the design and the edge of the paper.
Step 5: Secure each metal pendant blank to the design with Heat Tape.
Step 6: Create a "sublimation sandwich" by placing your secured project between two pieces of protective paper.
Step 7: Press with heavy pressure at 400℉ for 45 seconds.
Step 8: Be cautious this step is HOT, please use heat protection gloves. After 45 seconds, lift a corner of the paper and peek to ensure that the ink is transferred and vibrant on the pendant. If not, check the steps above and heat again. If your peek test was successful, remove from heat source and let cool.
Step 9: Once cool, remove the paper and reveal your artwork. Remove the protective adhesive on the pendant and press the disk in place.
This is such a fun way to make custom holiday jewelry. Artesprix Ink pads and markers are so easy and versatile to use. I hope you’ll fall in love with them as I have!
