Learn how to design a Rustic Plastic Keychain using Sublimation Markers
We love to label and design all of our bags and belongings. What a fun idea to personalize an Artesprix DIY Rustic Plastic Keychain using Sublimation Markers. We wanted to incorporate some deer antlers, flowers, and feathers to our Iron-on-Ink design. This Iron-on-Ink Project turned out amazing let’s get started.
We absolutely love using these Heat Transfer Markers and every time that we create with them we are amazed at the end product.
The bright vivid colors that appear after using the heat press are always a delight to see. The pink and green are a fun pop of color and I love the watercolor effect on the flower stems. With this wonderful Artesprix DIY Rustic Plastic Keychain Project, I will definitely know which bag is mine.
What are Artesprix Sublimation Markers?
Artesprix Sublimation Markers have the capability to transfer your drawings from plain paper to any Polyester Fabric or Polyester Coated Blank with their unique sublimation process.
Materials:
2. Copy Paper
3. Heat Tape
5. Artesprix Heat Press, Dry Iron or Home Iron
6. Project Mat
7. Sublimation blank plastic key chains
Key Chain Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1.
Use the rustic graphic below as an inspiration for your Artesprix DIY Rustic Plastic Keychain.
Step 2.
Use the design as a guide to trace onto a blank sheet of copy paper.
Pro Tip: It helps if you have a window nearby or light box to trace evenly and accurately.
Step 3.
Preheat your Artesprix Heat Press to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 4.
Secure your design (face-down) to the front side of your Artesprix DIY Rustic Plastic Keychain with Artesprix Heat Tape.
Leave at least 1-2 inches of space around the traced area so the tape does not so you have room to place the heat tape accordingly. Just remember, anywhere you place the tape heat your design will not transfer through thoroughly. Artesprix Heat Tape can also be used to fix any “oopsie,” on your design before transferred. Simply place a piece of tape over your, “oopsie,” and it will not transfer to your blank.
Step 5.
Create a “Sublimation Sandwich,” between two pieces of protective paper and place it in your Heat Press.
Step 6.
Set your Artesprix press timer for 60 seconds.
Step 7.
After your timer has gone off. Place your Artesprix DIY Rustic Plastic Keychain onto your Project Mat.
Pro Tip: Be sure to turn off your heat source.
