What is Sublimation Iron-on-Ink? It is an interesting and fun product that allows you to create a design on standard copy paper that can then be heat transferred onto surfaces (must have polyester in it or have a polyester coating). Once the project is transferred to the blank, it is lifetime permanent. BeforeArtesprix, you would need a fancy printer to experience this level of personalization, but not anymore!
Step 2: Start by coloring in the stencil openings with Sublimation Markers.
Step 3: “Shift” stencil to new position and continue to color in spaces.
Step 4: “Shift” paper again to cover an already colored area and trace with Black Sublimation Marker.
Step 5: Continue to “Shift” and color until you achieve the desired result.
Step 6: Remove stencil to reveal design.
Step 7: Add water to a few drops of Black Sublimation Refill ink and then apply ink splatters with fan brush.
Step 8: IMPORTANT, remove protective film from both metal Wine Stopper inserts.
Step 9: Place Wine Stopper blanks onto inked paper as desired and secure with heat tape. Step 11: Make a "Sublimation Sandwich" by placing the secured project between two pieces of protective paper.
Step 12: Heat set using appropriate settings for the project 385℉ for 45 seconds. Step 13: After heat set, take-a-peek at the transfer to ensure it was successful (do not remove tape until transfer is confirmed). Re-heat if needed.
Step 14: Remove paper to reveal the transferred design.
Step 13: With double sided tape provided with Wine Stopper, attach blank to the front and back.
Now it’s your turn! Grab your Artesprix’s Sublimation Markers and give this project a try! Don't forget this Wine Stopper Blank is only available for the month of January. It is a great blank to celebrate the new year, or create something sweet for your Valentine. Keep some on hand for when inspiration strikes! If you try this project, please share it with us in the Artesprix Facebook Group, we want to see it!
Happy Day!
Lori Warren
