Monogram Wine Stopper Made Simple with Sublimation

It's the Wine Stopper, and it's a Blank that is perfect for a beginner because the area you design is small, but the impact is big. Let me show you how to create a custom gift with minimal supplies.

What is Artesprix Iron-on-Ink?
Artesprix Sublimation Markers, Ink, and Paint are specially formulated to allow you to use basic copy paper to: color, stamp, stencil, and monoprint anything you wish and turn it into a heat-transferable design. These designs are then applied to a polyester or polyester coated substrate with heat and pressure. You can use a heat press or a home iron! These designs, through this process of sublimation, will become permanent on your substrates.
Supplies:
Sublimation Stamp Ink in Red, Blue, Yellow, and Purple
Sublimation Markers Fine Tip in Black
Blending Brushes
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: Outline your Blank onto a piece of copy paper. Make sure to draw 2 outlines because you can have a custom design on each side of the Wine Stopper.
Step 2: Use a blending brush to apply some Red Sublimation Stamp Ink to the outline, diagonally. I opted to use the upper left on one, and the lower right on the other.
Step 3: Use a different blending brush to apply the Yellow Sublimation Stamp Ink. Be sure to overlap the red a bit to get a nice orange.
Step 4: Repeat the process with the Blue and Purple Sublimation Stamp Inks and be sure to slightly overlap the colors to get a full rainbow. The colors will be a bit muted right now, but once we sublimate, they will be very vibrant!
Step 5: Using the Black Fine Tip Sublimation Marker, draw a letter in the middle of the design. I did it in pencil first to be sure I liked the size and placement. I decided I wanted to switch the direction of the center line when I used the marker. None of your pencil lines will show when you sublimate, so it's great to use pencil first. This is what my finished design.
Step 6: Be sure to remove the clear plastic film from your Blank before you adhere it to your design. Artesprix notes on the packaging with a sticker whether the blank has a film that needs to be removed or not.
Step 7: Use Heat Tape to adhere your Blanks face down to your designs.
Step 8: It’s time to make the Sublimation Sandwich. This sandwich not only ensures a great transfer of your design, but it will protect your heat source as well. Your sandwich will be: Protective Paper, Design (face down), Blank, Protective Paper.
Step 9: Sublimate your Blanks at 385°F for 45 seconds.
Step 10: Peek Test time! Carefully lift the Blank to be sure it sublimated properly. If it didn't, you can do it again.

Step 11: Remove the release paper from the Wine Stopper and adhere the Blanks to each side.
