Sublimation DIY “Horse Lover” Luggage Tag!
Easy & Fun Sublimation DIY Luggage Tag Project
Learn how to design an easy luggage tag using Sublimation
My girl recently started taking riding lessons and we need to haul a lot of equipment! Some days it seems as though we have everything but the horse in our bag- LOL! We designed these horse luggage tags to set her tack apart from the rest.

We absolutely love using these heat transfer markers and every time that we create with them we are amazed at the end product.
The bright vivid colors that appear after using the heat press are always a delight to see. We created this Appaloosa inspired bag tag from our favorite horse- Gracie.

Luggage Tag Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1.
Use the Appaloosa graphic below as an inspiration for your Sublimation Luggage Tag designs.

Step 2.
Use the design as a guide to trace onto a blank sheet of copy paper.

Pro Tip: It helps if you have a window nearby or light box to trace evenly and accurately.
Step 3.
Preheat your Artesprix Heat Press to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 4.
Secure your design (face-down) to your luggage tag with Artesprix Heat Tape. You can actually sublimate of both sides of all types of Artesprix Bag Tags which is really nice feature.

Pro Tip: Leave at least 1-2 inches of space of paper around the traced area so the tape does not cover your design. Just remember, anywhere you place the tape heat your design will not transfer through thoroughly. Artesprix Heat Tape can be used to fix any “oopsie,” on your design before transferred. Place a piece of tape over your, “oopsie,” and it will not transfer to your blank.
Step 5.
Create a “Sublimation Sandwich” Sandwich your Sublimation luggage tag between two pieces of protective paper and place on your project mat.

Step 6.
Set your Artesprix press timer for 45 seconds.
Step 7.
Take out of Heat Press and let Sublimation luggage tag cool before handling.

Pro Tip: Be sure to turn off your heat source.
