Under the Rainbow Sign using Artesprix Sublimation Acrylic Paint and Transfer Mask
Hello! I am Paula from Paula’s Studio. I am primarily a paper crafter who loves to make greeting cards but I also love using paper and my creativity to make other things. My excitement for Artesprix products comes from the ability to use the inks in different forms and techniques to expand on the options of how I can use my skills and artwork. I decorated an Artesprix Decorative Sign using Artesprix Sublimation Ink Acrylic Paint along with Heat Resistant Transfer Mask.

What are Artesprix Sublimation Arts & Crafts Supplies?
Sublimation is the process of taking a solid ink and applying heat and pressure to allow it to vaporize skipping the liquid state. This causes the ink to permanently adhere to the surface if it is primarily a form of polyester or poly-coating as the heat causes the surface to accept the gases leaving behind vibrant and permanent colors. Commercially, printers are used to print the designs. Artesprix provides products such as markers, ink pads, and paints to allow us to create projects at home without committing to a printer and lets us dip into our creative side too.
Supplies:
Lighteining Medium for Sublimation Paint
Electronic Cutter such as Cricut or Silhouette (optional)

Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1: Trace the sign on the sheet of paper. Include markings for the holes.
Step 2: Paint the background design on the paper.
Step 3: Type your desired word or phrase into the software for your cutting machine. Measure your painted design to estimate the size you would like it to be and adjust the size.
Step 4: Load the transfer mask onto a cutting mat so that the seam in the center is face down on the mat. Cut your design in the MIRRORED orientation using cut settings for stencil material.
Step 5: Remove from mat. Remove protective layer from cut design and stick to your painting. Press firmly in place.
Step 6: Tape the painting to the sign with heat protective tape.
Step 7: Create a sublimation sandwich by placing your secured project between two pieces of protective paper.
Step 8: Press with painting face down using medium pressure at 400 ℉ for 105 seconds.
Step 9: Be cautious this step is HOT, please use heat protection gloves. After 105 seconds, lift a corner of the paper and peek to ensure that the ink is transferred and vibrant on the sign. If not, heat a little longer and do another test. If so, remove from heat source and let cool.
Step 10: Once cool, remove the paper.
Step 11: Attach the gray ribbon for hanging.
I truly get excited every time I reveal the finished project. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful. I hope you’ll fall in love with them as I have!
