Brutus Monroe Life is Sweet Stamp Set
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: To begin, I used the Heart Metal Ornament as a template to trace on white card-stock using a pencil.
Step 2: Next, I stamped Brutus Monroe’s Life is Sweet designs onto the plain piece of paper using the Sublimation Ink Pad.
Step 2.1: To create the text, I used the print from the plastic to trace over against the window. Most stamp sets have a plastic film with a black outlining of the images… They come in handy when sublimating!
Step 3: Then, I colored in the images using the Sublimation Markers. You may notice that the color on the appear appears to be muted compared to the cap of the marker, this is all a part of the "sublimation magic".
Step 4: If you have a "hiccup" like me. Use heat resistant tape to cover the "hiccup". The heat resistant characteristic of the tape with prevent the "hiccup" from transferring to your heart ornament. Using Heat Tape, I taped down the Metal Heart Ornament with the images facing up towards the ornament.
Step 5: Next, Create your sublimation sandwich. One protective Paper sheet at the bottom and one sheet at the top of the project. The bottom piece will protect the pad in the heat press and keep the other side of the ornament nice and bright white. The top piece of protective paper with protect your heating element from ink.
Step 6: Set your heat press to 400℉ and timer for 60 seconds. Note in the picture above that my paper with the design is on top of the blank.
Step 7: After your timer has completed, make sure to let your project cool down before touching it. Carefully conduct the "Peek Test". Without removing any tape, peel back a your design just enough to make sure the colors are vibrant.
Step 8: Remove heat tape and paper from your Heart Ornament to reveal your vivid designs! Embellish as desired!
