UNITED STATES PATENT AWARDED FOR SUBLIMATION MARKERS

SARASOTA, FL (September 1, 2020)—Sarasota-based Artesprix LLC, maker of Iron-on-Ink sublimation markers and related products, announced today their parent company, Esprix Technologies, LP, was awarded a United States Patent for its “decorative imaging process using fibrous nib markers with specific disperse dye compositions.” 

Regarding the announcement, the General Partner for Esprix Technologies, LP Philip W.  United States Patent 10,669,440 includes 28 claims about the company’s unique dye-sublimation process and the following description:

The invention relates to a process for using a fibrous nib marking pen with a low viscosity, non-clogging, consumer and environmentally friendly heat transfer disperse dye ink composition and the use of that fibrous nib marker to image an intermediate substrate, optionally plain paper, and sequentially transferring the dye image to a receptive surface using a suitable combination of heat, pressure and time. Alternatively, the fibrous nib marker can be used to directly decorate a substrate with the heat transfer ink and the dye image fixed by a combination of heat, pressure and time.
