Markers, Puzzle

Good morning, friends! I’m sharing a the Blank of the Month March project with you today and it is a puzzle! This is such a fun blank and I really enjoyed making this project! Come see how I used stencils and sublimation markers to create a personalized puzzle that will last as long as the memories we make using it.

What are Artesprix Sublimation Markers?

Artesprix Sublimation Markers have the capability to transfer your drawings from a plain copy paper to any Polyester blank with a unique process called “Sublimation.” Once the blank goes through the heat press, your transfer is permanent! It will not wash off. So cool, right!?

Materials:

Blank of the Month March 2022 Puzzle

Sublimation Markers

Protective Paper

Heat Tape

Heat Press or Heat Source

Copy Paper

Pencil

The Crafter’s Workshop Stencils (TCW2419, TCW2431)

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

Step 1: To begin, I used a pencil to trace the puzzle onto plain white cardstock so I knew how much space I had to work with.

Step 2: Next, I used low tack tape to position the stencil securely.

Step 3: Sublimation requires mirrored text. To create mirrored text I flipped my The Crafter’s Workshop Stencil over and traced “Relax-Unwind-Enjoy”. Add your Sublimation marker color as desired.

Pro Tip: Turn on your heat source before getting creative so it can warm up while you work. The Puzzle calls for 400℉.

Step 4: Once you are finished designing, tape down the puzzle onto the sublimated design. I found it easiest to remove the puzzle from the frame before taping.

Step 5: You are ready to create a “Sublimation Sandwich”, cut two pieces of protective paper bigger than your puzzle and build from bottom to top:

Step 6: Place “Sublimation Sandwich” in you 400℉ heat press and set for 60 seconds with firm pressure.

Step 7: After your timer is finished, use caution and remove your project from the heat source onto a heat resistance work surface (like the Artesprix Project Mat). Once your project is cooler to the touch, before removing tape, peel back a small portion of the paper to ensure your transfer was successful.

Step 8: If you are pleased with the transfer, reveal your vivid design!

This would be perfect for an AirBnB Beach House or Lake House!
