Maker Message Iron-on-Ink Glitter Zip Case
Designer Naomi back with a sensational project for you. I’ll be personalizing the Artesprix August Blank of the Month Glitter Zip using Iron-on-Ink Stamp Pads & Accessories. Creating mirrored text for sublimation without a sublimation printer can be tricky, but it is easy when you have the right tools! Artesprix created an Alphabet Stamp Set specifically designed for your sublimation projects, it made making the right message for this zip case a breeze!

What is Artesprix Iron-on-Ink?
Artesprix Sublimation Markers, Ink, and Paint are specially formulated to allow you to use basic copy paper to: color, stamp, stencil, and monoprint anything you wish and turn it into a heat-transferable design. These designs are then applied to a polyester or polyester coated substrate (like the glitter zip case) with heat and pressure. You can use a heat press or a home iron! These designs, through this process of sublimation, will become permanent on your substrates.
Supplies:
Glitter Zip Case
Heat Press
Sublimation Markers
Sublimation Stamp Pads
Sublimation Block Alphabet Stamp Set
Acrylic Stamp Block
Stamp Designs of Your Choice
Protective Paper
Heat Tape
Pressing Pillow
Copy Paper
Pencil
Lint Roller or alcohol and lint-free cloth
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: Trace the outline of your zip case on a sheet of copy paper using a pencil.
Step 2: Use the alphabet stamps to spell out your sentiment on the acrylic block.
Step 3: Ink up your stamp using the Sublimation Stamp Pad and stamp onto the copy paper inside of your template.
Step 4: Choose the stamps and ink colors you would like to use and add them to the paper as desired.
Pro Tip: If you want to use a traditional text stamp, not designed for sublimation, use the new the Artesprix Mirror Stamp Plate.
Step 5: Use Sublimation Markers to outline or color in any areas of your design you would like to add additional detail.
Step 6: Once you are finished designing, place the glitter zip case on top and tape using heat tape.
Pro Tip #2: Use a pressing pillow inside of the zip case to raise the surface of your case above the zipper seam. If you don't have a pressing pillow, be sure to leave your zipper on the outside of your press.
Step 7: Take the taped design and zip case to your heat press and make a "sublimation sandwich" in this order: protective paper, zip case, design, protective paper.
Step 8: Press the glitter zip case at 385℉ for 45 seconds using medium pressure.
Step 9: Before removing from the heat press do a "peek test", lift a corner of the design to make sure the design transferred correctly. If the design is transferred well, you are done and you can remove the tape and paper from the zip case. If it is not, press it for a few more seconds.
How beautiful is this glitter zip case?! So easy to create a quick project and it’s perfect for back to school! But I think I’ll keep this one for my Artestprix Iron-on-Ink Markers. The Artesprix Block Stamp Alphabet makes it so easy for any Maker to add their own personalized message.
