What is Artesprix Iron-on-Ink?
Imagine having a magical ink that lets you unleash your creativity using specially formulated mediums like acrylic paint, markers, stamp pads, and ink refills. Artesprix Iron-on Ink is your crafting companion that elevates your rubber stamping routine to new heights. The sublimation process transforms the ink into a gas, ensuring vibrant and long-lasting results on your crafted masterpieces.
Supplies:
Bottle Opener
Sublimation Markers
Sublimation Stamp Pad
Modern Alphabet Stencil
Heat Tape
Protective Paper Roll
Project Mat
Heat Source
Multi-Purpose Cleaner
Sweet Sentiment Stamp Set
Plain Paper
Pencil
Step-By-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: Using copy paper and a regular pencil, trace your blank onto the paper to create a template.
Step 2: Select stamps from your stash to complement your design. I am using a set from Sweet Sentiment Designs.
Step 3: Position the stamps and paper template in your stamp positioner.
Step 4: Use the Black Sublimation Ink Pad to ink the stamps and press them within your template.
Step 5: Color your images with Artesprix Sublimation Markers.
Pro Tip: Store the markers face down in a cup for 20 minutes before coloring for better ink flow.
Step 6: Using a stencil, create a background using a ink blending technique with Purple and Pink Sublimation Ink Pads.
Pro Tip #2: If you don't have a stencil, create one! You can see how that was done in this month's Guest Designer Blog here.
Step 7: Trim down the template if needed, leave space for you to apply heat tape!
Step 8: Secure the Bottle Opener to the design with heat tape. Be generous with the tape, especially with a handheld press.
Step 9: Preheat your heat press to 400°F and prepare a "sublimation sandwich" with siliconized paper to protect both sides of the blank and the work surface.
Step 10: Press for 75 seconds with the hand press, utilizing a Protective Project Mat for surface protection if using a handheld press like me.
Step 11: Perform a "peek test before" removing the tape. Be very careful as this blank will retain heat.
Step 12: If your transfer looks good, allow the project to cool, then remove all tape and paper to reveal your beautiful custom bottle opener.
I am thrilled about the outcome of my personalized Bottle Opener and the joy it will bring as a gift.
